Did Well… Next Time

Please write four short paragraphs.  All four should fit on one page.  Sign what you write, and as you write, please be conscious that your words may be read by many people: by other parishioners, by the Bishop, and by candidates who apply to be our next Rector.

First, select the two most important things that you celebrate about Fr. Bob Brownlie’s years at St. Luke’s; two of the things that the parish, and he, did well during those years.  Write a short paragraph about each one.  It could be an event, or a project, or an atmosphere, upon which you look back with pleasure and with thankfulness, about which you could say to Fr. Bob, “That was well done!  It had God’s blessing upon it!”

Then, select the two most important things that could have been done differently or better during Fr. Bob’s tenure at St. Luke’s.  Again, we’re looking for a short paragraph about each one: an event or a project or an atmosphere upon which you look back and say, “Next time, I’d like to see that sort of thing done differently, or better, or not done at all.”

These paragraphs are to be clear and detailed enough that the reader does not have to play guessing games as to what they are about.  However, keep in mind that anything you write in those four paragraphs might find its way into print with your name on it.

Please submit your own “Did well… Next time” to Fr. Tony Harwood-Jones, our Interim Incumbent.  You can submit on paper, via the church office: 130 Nassau St. N., Winnipeg, MB, R3L 2H1, or email it directly to Fr. Tony at this address:
tony@stlukewinnipeg.com.

Fr. Tony will take all submissions and summarize them for wide distribution among the parishioners.  As well, the originals will be perused in detail by those most closely involved in the transition, particularly as we begin to prepare a Profile of the parish.  The Corporation would like all submissions to be turned in to St. Luke’s parish office no later than July 31, 2008.
